New "Tiny" SCARA Robots - Perfect For The Job In Hand

Two new "Tiny" palm-sized SCARA robots have recently joined the family at AA Robotics. Their mounting surface is so small that they fit into the palm of a human hand. These tiny robots from Yahama are designed for compact production processes undertaking high-precision tasks for manufacturing, assembly and packaging in the electronics, pharmaceutical, medical and plastics industries.

These "Tiny" robots, with a footprint of 100 x 50mm, can be easily mounted within a machine and used to perform pick and place or assembly operations with impressive cycle times. The smaller of the two 4 Axis Assembly Robots has a payload of 500 grammes,a reach of 120mm to 150mm and a pick and place cycle time of just 1.0 second. Its sibling has a 180mm to 220mm reach with a 1kg payload.
